Ich trommelte mit meinen Fingern unruhig auf meinem Knie herum. In meinem linken Ohr steckte ein Kopfhöhrer - so wie eigentlich fast immer. Die letzte Stunde war ausgefallen und jetzt musste ich mich noch für weitere 30 Minuten beschäftigen, bevor ich zum Training gehen könnte. Ich hatte mir eigentlich einen Kaffee kaufen wollen, allerdings kein Geld dabei gehabt. Also musste ich mich jetzt so beschäftigen.

Gelangweielt und nicht wirklich aufmerksam ging ich mit einem kleinen Schwarm Cheerios die Treppen hoch. Jedesmal war es das gleiche Gesprächsthema und jedesmal wurde es langweiliger. Mein Blick schweifte umher, weshalb es dann auch kam, wie es kommen musste. Ich übersah eine Stufe, stolperte und erschrak mich so sehr, dass meine Bücher quer über die Treppen verteielt lagen. Ich seufzte und gab einem der Cheerios ein zeichen, dass sie nicht auf mich warten sollten, ehe ich mühselig anfing meine Bücher aufzusammeln.

Ich war unaufmerksam und bekam nicht mit wer an mir vorbei lief. Doch als plötzlich ein Mädchen stolperte und ihre Bücher auf der Treppe verteilte, wurde ich aufmerksam. Ich sah nur ihre Cheerleader Uniform und lange braune Haare, die in einem Pferdeschwanz steckten. Ich stöpselte schnell die Musik aus meinen Ohren und stand auf, um dem Mädchen zu helfen. Einige Bücher lagen beinahe direkt neben mir, ich nahm sie und hielt sie dem Mädchen hin. "Hier, die hast du verlohren", sagte ich schmunzelt und hielt ihr die Bücher entgegen.

Leicht überrascht sah ich auf, als ich eine männliche Stimme vernahm. Mit einem freundlichen Lächeln nahm ich meine Bücher entgegen. "Oh, dankeschön.", sagte ich immer noch lächelnd und richtete mich wieder auf, wobei ich den kleinen Bücherstapel in meinem Arm sortierte, bevor ich mir eine Haarsträhne aus dem Gesicht strich. Jetzt erst sah ich den Jungen richtig an und musste zugeben, dass er gar nicht mal schlecht aussah, was mich noch etwas mehr zum Lächeln brachte.

"Gerne", sagte ich grinsend und steckte mir eine Hand in die Hosenentasche. "Bist du so in Eile gewesen?", fragte ich sie und versuchte so eine Konversation in Gang zu bringen. Sie sah hübsch aus, außerdem schien sie etwas im Köpfchen zu haben, so viele Bücher wie sie mit sich herum schleppte.

"Um ehrlich zu sein, nein. Nur ziemlich gelangweielt und am träumen.", meinte ich etwas verlegen und schmunzelte. "Und du hast Ausschau nach jemanden gehalten, der Hilfe braucht?", fragte ich grinsend und hob eine Augenbraue. Ich sah kurz an mir runter und richtete meine Cheerleaderuniform.

"Gelangweilt? Das ist immer schlecht." Ich musste leicht lachen. "Ja, ich sitzte immer gerne auf der Treppe und warte darauf, dass ich einem hübschen Mädchen helfen kann. Manchmal stelle ich ihnen sogar ein Bein, damit es klappt." Mein Ton wurde ein wenig flirtend, dennoch nicht aufdränglich oder zu flirtend. "Nein, ich habe die letzte Stunde frei gehabt und warte jetzt, bis ich zum Training gehen kann. Das fängt erst später an." Ich folgte ihrem Blick und musterte sie dabei.

"Ich danke dir, für dein indirektes Kompliment." Leicht grinsend sah ich an. "Oh, ist das so? Da kann man sich ja wirklich nur glücklich und geehrt schätzen, wenn du einem ein Bein stellst.", meinte ich leise lachend und zog meinen Pferdeschwanz etwas fester, nachdem ich meine Cheeriouniform gerichtet hatte, wobei ich seinen Blick auf mir gespürt hatte. Dann sah ich ihm in die Augen und lächelte. "Ich bin übrigens Roxanne und du bist?" Fragend zog ich meine Augenbraue hoch und biss mir kurz auf die Unterlippe.
